Judith Sherwin, Psy.D. developed LifeTalk to reflect her work as a psychotherapist and educator. She has been in private practice for more than 30 years helping individuals and couples enrich their relationships. Dr. Sherwin holds a Doctor of Psychology Degree in Marital and Family Therapy, a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and pursues and teaches on-going education in the field.
Dr. Sherwin believes that people seek therapy to learn how to improve the quality of their lives. In order to maximize and expedite a client’s time in therapy, she often suggests books (bibliotherapy), films (cinematherapy), apps, videos, relevant news articles, and other self-help homework assignments to assist people with their personal journey.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sherwin is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University where she has been teaching courses in marriage and family therapy since 2002.
Dr. Sherwin’s mission is to provide therapy and consultations to help clients make more positive choices and facilitate change to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
